1. Pack Boxes Efficiently:
Pack your belongings into boxes an organized manner. Use sturdy boxes, label them clearly, and group all boxes into the front room leaving wide pathways. This makes it easier for our movers to load and unload efficiently. Wolf Moving recommends that all boxes be under 70 pounds for easy transport.
2. Disassemble and Empty Furniture:
In order to best protect your furniture and belongings, Wolf Moving requests that all shelves and drawers be empty. If possible, any tedious and time consuming disassembly should be done before the movers arrive. This will save our movers time on your move which saves you money! However, our team is fully equipped and trained to disassemble any furniture and we are more than happy to take care of that for you!
3. Secure Fragile Items:
Pack fragile items carefully using bubble wrap or packing paper. Clearly label boxes containing fragile items, so our movers can handle them with care. Wolf Moving provides moving blankets and wrap upon request, but extra protection is often beneficial.
4. Be Ready for Moving Day:
Ensure that you are ready and available on moving day. If you're still packing or preparing when the movers arrive, it will slow down our moving process.
5. Dismantle Electronics:
Disconnect and dismantle electronics like TVs and computers. Wolf Moving is able to remove TV's from TV mounts, however they are not able to remove the mount from the wall due to our scope of practice. Keep cords and accessories organized and labeled for easy reassembly.
6. Stay Accessible:
Be available to answer any questions or provide guidance to the movers. This can help prevent delays and ensure your belongings are packed and loaded correctly.
7. Keep Valuables with You:
Transport important documents, jewelry, and valuable items personally rather than entrusting them to the movers. While our team has an excellent track record when it comes to keeping track of inventory, irreplaceable items should always be transported yourself.
8. Provide Clear Instructions:
Before the unloading process begins, walk through your new home with your movers and clearly explain where each box or piece of furniture should be placed. This will help save time and effort during the unloading process.
